The Life Path Number

The Life Path is the sum of the birth date. This number represents who you are at birth and the native traits that you will carry with you through life. The most important number that will be discussed here is your Life Path number. The Life Path describes the nature of this journey through life.

The Life Path number is established from the date of birth. First, add the Month, day, and year together to arrive at a total. Next, reduce this four digit number to a single digit.

Example: If a person was born on October 23, 1972 (10-23-1972*), add the month 10 to the day 23 plus the the year 1972 arriving at a total of 2005. Then add the digits in 2005 arriving at the Life Path number 7.

The "master numbers, " 11, 22, and 33, have been incorporated within the corresponding single digit number readings. See addition comments about master numbers.

If you choose to consider the master numbers, you can stop reducing the compound numbers when you arrive at the master numbers, 11 or 22. Example: Bill Gates, born 10-28-1955, has a birth date that adds up to 1993. 1993 reduces to 22, so he would be a good example of the 22/4.

If your Life-Path number is SEVEN, depth of thinking and the ability to gain knowledge from most everything will be something you’ve experienced since an early age. SEVEN is considered the ‘spiritual’ number and such qualities as intuition will be prominent [Yup, I think I'm quite intuitive!].

Those with a SEVEN Life-Path are usually peaceful and affectionate [I stay away from trouble and nuisance as far as possible].

The SEVEN that chooses to not get out into the world and to grasp all there is to learn, can become negative and selfish [I am sometimes ego-centric].

An attitude that says the world owes them can also happen [if I think life's unfair, does this count?].

To experience life at it’s utmost, a SEVEN must face their fears and insecurities and face whatever comes their way [I see].

There is much a SEVEN can give to the world around [Really?!].

Happy Birthday, Mr Rainbow!

Dear Mr Rainbow, how have you been? It's been 3 years [and a few days] since you've left us. We're still missing you. Every now and then I'll read my old blog posts, of which some were about our temporary assignment at CPF, some were about your funny antics, and some were written to keep you in my memories.

You would have been 27 years old today [8 Aug 08] if you were still alive. Happy Birthday!! Your birthday this year, falls on the same day as the commencement date of the Beijing Olympics.

It was your death anniversary few days ago, while all of us have moved on, we have not forgotten you. Sorry I couldn't be there to visit you at your new house.

Hope you are happier, whever you are. :)

He was someone who was always smiling with his tiny eyes. Once on my birthday in 2005, I took photos with a few of my ex-colleagues, and I complained how small my eyes looked when juxtaposed with the others. Then Anthony and I took a photo together, which he commented that we were in the same boat, that we have small eyes and we won't pale in comparison to each other!

Rainbow, rainbow, you are sorely missed. :)

Thought Nuggets

* Some people say that you don't know what you have until you lose it, but it's not like that. You always know what you have, you just never thought you would lose it.

* Hearts are easily torn but can also be sown together by someone who cares. Though the scars won't fade, the stitches will always be there to remind you that someone loves you enough to keep you whole again.

* Goodbyes make you think. They make you realize what you've had, what you've lost and what you've taken for granted. They make you realize that sometimes, there are no next times, no time outs and no second chances.

* It's okay to cry as hard and as long as you want to. Just make sure that when you stop crying, you won't cry for the same reason anymore.

* Pain is when you can't breathe even if your chest still rises and falls. Sadness is when you look out the window and think the rain are your tears. Loneliness is when you still feel a hand touching yours even if there's none. Desperation is when you wait for a message that will never come. Love is when you experience all those things and still open your heart to that someone.

* In life, we always search for answers because we want to prove ourselves that we had the right decisions but the truth is we can't search for what is not there. Things happen because it is meant to happen. That's why we forgive people even if they hurt us, we love people who don't love us and we smile despite every painful crash in our hearts. At the end of the day, the lesson you get are the answers to your decisions.

* Don't be bitter and full of hatred when the one you love doesn't love you the way you love her/him. Ask, listen and let go. Don't force yourself to understand when you can't, to fight hard when obviously it's over and to play deaf to the nagging truth that what you've had doesn't work and won't work anymore. Instead, say: "I have loved you more than you think I would, but I feel sorry that you've lost your chance to be loved more than you would ever feel in your life after this..."

Nemesis

It may be a hugeass coincidence, but somehow from my observation, the people born under the star signs Virgo and Gemini, seems to be my nemesis.

On the flip side, however, I have a few chummy friends under these star signs. And either the relationship is superbly great, or holy moly, I'm detested. :(

There is one run-of-the-mill Ms Gemini [certainly no offence to the other Geminis I know] who, from a second-degree friend, became a chummy pal of mine, and now to being complete strangers. All this, because of a GUY. Heck, she's not even interested in [a relationship with] this guy to begin with! She just wants to collect the number of guys liking her, as a form of trophy or to enter some hall-of-fame.

I can understand the part where some people collect boyfriends from different Horoscopes, as a form of fun/thrill/whatever. But just how do you show off the number of guys who like you?! "Oh, here's the friendster profile of Mr Married-guy-divorced-with-one-kid-laden-with-debts. He used to like me!" [Your money, maybe?]

Look, I've nothing against people's choices of who they want to be with, be it in terms of religion, sexual orientation, occupation, species, etc. But I cannot stand people who downplay the true meaning of marriage if she ever thought of marrying the guy "because she loves the ring" [quoted in Ms Gemini's own words]. And of course those who bring the name of women down, by trying hard to collect as many guys who like them.

Lady, there's no Guinness Record for that. Perhaps you should try to beat Annabel Chong's feat. :p

Well, Ms Gemini tried to find out whom her ex-classmate had a crush on, back then in secondary school. She kept pestering ME to find out for her [I know her through Mr Ex-Classmate] who was the girl he once liked.

So one day, Mr Ex-Classmate told her that it was SOME Girl he once had a crushed on, Ms Gemini was piqued. She must have thought, "How could you fall for SOME Girl? She's not even ______, and ______(insert random good adjectives)!!"

Because of a certain incident (which involve Mr Ex-Classmate), in which she allegedly claimed I was a 2-headed snake, while herself being the real one, she disappeared from my life. Like, into thin air?! She was prolly jealous of me, for whatever things I had no clues of.

Today, she sprung out of nowhere and emailed me to 'stop sending her emails'. My satirical reply to her was, "I'm SO sorry for betraying your Yahoo inbox!!" [I can be a bitch at times :p]

My bad for forgetting to remove her from my mailing list, meant specificially for people who appreciate my emails.

Sidenote: I don't forward chain letters, virus warnings, etc without checking the validity of the email. I'd make the effort to write to the supposed-author of the email, for verification purposes. Some emails [asking for blood donation of unusual blood types, for example] may be real. But email circulation is so rampent that the email you get, may be 2 years old, the victim might have passed on/recovered and the family does not wish to get any more calls/SMSes/Emails regarding the said matter. I'd delete all the strings of email addresses when I forward emails, and I'd remove your name if I were to forward your emails out, so that you don't have to get a repeated email you had sent out. And believe it or not, some people would write back and say they appreciate my emails. So, I don't forward blindly. :)

Look, you can betray me for a guy, and I'll prolly forgive you, if eventually you end up happily married with him. Heck, I may even give you my blessings when I get over everything.

Ms Gemini, I was there for you when you needed someone. I lent a listening ear, drank myself silly with you [back then when I didn't know you very well], gave you advice, etc. Yet what do I get in return!? Silly me, I usually try not to be too close with my other half in front of broken-hearted people [too bad I don't get that kind of treatment], but in the end what do I get?

All these could very well be helluva big misunderstanding, remaining a mystery that would never be solved because Ms Gemini has decided to disappear from my life.

Of drinks and songs

After having rejected my ex-colleague's countless requests for a KTV session [which naturally involve drinks, given that she's an alcoholic!], I decided to take up the offer she gave on Saturday.

After all, I was the one who announced to some of my KTV kakis that I'd like to go sing my lungs out. Everyone was either broke, busy or they thought singing with just one other person equates boredom. -.-"

I was glad I went, since I could possibly tear my tresses out being cooped up in my room [ironically though, I adore my room].

Serene [my ex-colleague]'s bunch of friends are the 'older' bunch of friends she has. Unknowingly, I declined the previous offer, which was a KTV outing with her younger bunch of friends. Naively, I thought that the lounge would only have oldies, and very little new pop songs, but boy, was I in for a surprise! They even have Stefanie Sun's 'wo huai nian de'!

I love the environment there, at the Bukit Batok Civil Service Center Clubhouse. Too bad I don't know any members there! The Karaoke Hall Lounge is quite a nice place to practise for competitions, etc. Priced at $7, you could sing in the hall on weekends from 1pm till 5pm without having much crowd. You could even bring your own Karaoke CDs!

I should have taken a few photos of the place, it's quite cosy and chalet-like. These civil servants have it real damn good!

My singing skills improved after a few rounds of beer. God knows how many mugs I drank, for the water level in my mug never seemed to reach zero. The next thing I know, it was topped to the brim. Well done. :p

One of the uncles [I supposed in his forties] commented that us youngsters seem to sing with more gutso and strength, the more we sing. Whereas they would need to rest after a few songs after each song they sing. Heh. The other lady rocks in Hokkien songs, and the uncles commented that my singing can 'fight' with hers. O_O

So my voice was commented as 清，幼，细. And after I sang 新不了情, they said I've got technique. Muwahaha. That was my most practised song, whaddya think? :p I was so tipsy, I almost lost my balance in the ladies. Good thing I didn't fall.

Wanted to cab home after a fun-filled crooning session, but Serene suggested that her friend drive me home. And he suggested for us to eat supper, because it wouldn't be worth it if he were caught in his tipsy state by the road blocks. So we [2 uncles and me!] went to the nearby coffee shop to have porridge as supper. Heh.

Reached home after walking in zig-zag lines, haha. :p I love the feeling of being tipsy though, and I get tipsy/high really fast. Haha.

Watched a few movies online over the last 3 days, and I'm gonna watch Cashback and The Bourne Ultimatum soon. :p Hiak hiak. Here are my reviews, amatuerish as ever:

1) 1408 - Nice show of a guy acting with himself most of the time. Great acting.

John Cusack stars as Mike Enslin, a famous writer renowned for disparaging paranormal events. Upon receiving a postcard with the only note, "Do not enter room 1408", he decides to leave his hometown to where his ex-wife is living, New York, and check into the notoriously haunted Dolphin Hotel.

Mike specialises in horror, but is agnostic about what he cannot see and touch. Having constructed an entire career on his ability to dispel superstition and "haunted house" rumours, he's convinced that the afterlife is the average person's false comfort for the weak minded.

Mike's latest project is a book entitled "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms," and it seems that in room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel, this skeptical scribe may finally find evidence of the supernatural. Implored by the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson) not to enter room 1408, Mike defiantly procures the key and prepares to dispel yet another spectral sham.

As is the case with many of life's most profound epiphanies, the writer who thought he knew it all is caught entirely off-guard at the precise moment he least expected it. Subsequently faced with undeniable proof of an afterlife, Mike may have a best-seller on his hands if he can simply survive until sunrise.

2) Wild Hogs - Damn funny, 4 loser-ish guys try to follow their hearts, to follow their biking dreams. They leave town, and came upon adventures they would never have seen themselves getting into.

3) The Ultimate Gift - The best things in life are not seen, not labelled with a price, not felt by anything but the inner souls and the heart. Grandfather leaves Jason with the ultimate gift [as his inheritance], which is a series of gifts that Jason can only receive upon completion of several tasks. He finds that there are other things more important than money itself.

4) John Tucker Must Die - Guy dates 3 girls from different cliques, so that they do not talk to one another and find out. One day a teacher fell ill, and truth be told, they found out John Tucker happened to be dating all of them. The girl who works at the restaurant Tucker brings these girls to, was often unnoticed. Under the supervision of these 3 girls, she transforms into someone she was not, and made Tucker fell in love with her. Can she help these 3 girls take revenge? Or lose herself in the process [forgetting who she really is]?

5) I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry - 2 best friends work together as fire fighters, always there for one another in life and near-death experiences. Widower Chuck finally gets over his grief, but realises he was too late to change the beneficiaries of his insurance claims to his 2 children. In America, there are gay laws that allow the homosexuals to get married. Having no other people he could trust more, Chuck entrusts perfectly-straight Larry with the task of taking care of his kids financially in case he loses his life to a fire-fighting session. Larry agreed, only because Chuck saved his life once, and told him he would do anything for him, in return. Both guys thought it was be a low-key thing, but ended up having to cohabit like a real pair of gay lovers to avoid being found out that the whole thing is fake. Honestly, I find the bathing scene to be the funniest, as the director over-dramatises how one of the fire-fighters slipped the bar of soap out of his hands, and refuses to pick it up. This is a flick about how far true friends would go for one another. :)

Room Makeover

I have prolly talked about the revamping of my room since 2.5 years ago, that's how long some of you have known me. :p I have been procrastinating, and finally getting my posterior ready to finish what I've somewhat started.

After my grandma passed away in February 2005, I took over her room. We've been using that room for more storage space thereafter. It's embarressing to confess, that my entire nuclear family had slept in the same room [with many mattresses] as that was the only room with air-conditioner back in our old home. When we moved to this new house, the female-with-the-same-set-of-parents and I were supposedly sharing a room, but somehow, the bulk of her stuffs took over the room instead.

So eventually all of us bunked in the same room, and some years later, she decided to 'live on her own', and took over the shared bedroom as her own. -.-"

When I finally took over my grandma's room, it was in such a huge mess, there wasn't even space to put a mattress in, let alone have space to walk!

We've had arguments because she was the one who told me to inform her when I want to clean up my room [so that she can do so at the same time, and return me my stuffs]. In the end she went ahead first, and one day I came home to a lot of my stuffs in my new room. I guess it's basic courtesy that I should get informed about it at least a day in advance?

But it's thanks to her that I finally get my engine started. I had to, else I'd not have a space to sleep.

The room was completely left untouched for quite sometime after I had my heart broken, afraid that any photos/stuffs would incite some past memories. Kudos to my Mummy for helping to buy the paint for my room [dark blue and purple], and painting the room while I was busy at work. Her painting skills aren't fantastic, but perhaps it was a good thing we've never painted this room before [apart from the time the house was painted in light green by the contractors, before we moved in]. So the light-green color [which looks more like white instead] took very well to the darker colors. :)

I dare not say the same for the other rooms in the house though. =X



Come to think of it, I only took like 2-3 full days to complete the revamp of my room. And my room is officially the nicest in my house! :p The female-with-the-same-set-of-parents is still living in a sty, although her furniture came in months earlier. :p

I'd like to say that I'm an organised person, once my things are organised, I'd seldom mess them up. My sis is a messy person, so even if she cleans up her room, it'll still get messy eventually. =X

I like my softies, the ones in my top cabinet. Hiak hiak. YAY! Just too bad the hello kitty mouse hasn't arrived yet, else I'd have taken a photo of the keyboard and mouse [that screams 'BIMBOTIC']. Haha.

I'm a happy girl today! My chair is so comfortable! My room is so cosy! =X Time to remove the plastic sheets from my bed, pillows and bolster. =X Keke.

Well, though I belong to the female species, I seldom change my hairstyles. If you know me for more than a decade, chances are, you've never sported me in short hair [except in secondary school years. My face doesn't suit short and spiky hairstyles, though I yearn to do so.

I believe I've never told anyone about my 'secret wish', except him. If I were slim one day, I'd do an album of myself, nude. I'll also cut my hair short, standing on ends.

It's seldom that I feel damn good about myself. So here you go, my collage of photos, in compliance with the meme. :)
